Date: October 2017
Location: Matawan Michigan BASF Distribution Warehouse
Contractor: American Carbon Fiber Services
Engineer: Prince-Lund Engineering

Scope:
Loading dock at BASF Distribution Warehouse was experiencing corrosion of rebar and spalling concrete to slab, columns and beams. The rebar was cleaned and treated. Master Emaco T-545 was then used to patch spalling. The 300 gsm carbon fiber was installed for flexural and shear. Round carbon anchors were installed so that the design engineer could use 100% of carbon strength. Countersunk staples were used on inside slab.

Conclusion:
The restoration of loading dock will ensure yrs of continued use and anchoring of carbon will ensure long term creep.
